would removing the water expansion tank off effect the cooling system ?

i blew my dt up ... but i fixed it.... Then i crashed it.... but i didnt fix it right and 2 scouser's come in the middle of the night and left me with a working bike
You need room for expansion otherwise where is it going to expand? Gasket? Radiator cap? Hosing? Isn the expansion tank there to release preasure of the cooling system? Correct me if I'm wrong!
well i need to get some bolts and get mine back on because thats how im loosing coolent then

there somewhere else on the bike bolts have a habbit to go missing lol
