Well I'm sorry to announce it but my DT has sadly gone, sold gherkin yesterday! I tried to get back into riding properly on the road and I pretty mucho just couldn't get my confidence back : ( do promise to get another dt! Was an amazing bike and she will be missed but for now I'm sticking to four wheels for the road but not getting out of track riding!

Worse thing you can do is not getting straight back on the horse. Nath, Toy are fine examples of what to do after a crash. I've been in many a crash and have always immediately got straight back on.
But good luck anyway. Didn't realise you had an accident.
Ha! Trust me mate I've not crashed it! And if I did that wouldn't make me just go sell her! She was an amazing bike but sadly a bike as an everyday commuter isn't the best for me! The whole incident with the feller is what really knocked me confident mate! Sound like a girl but I just didn't feel comfortable on the road any more, not gonna lie I am devastated but I will get another road bike when I can afford a car and bike!

Sorry but thats the reason why you're giving up lmao! Mate would have been ten times if someone does that to you ina car. You'll end up killing someone. Much easier to swerve on a bike. I'm sorry but thats a poor excuse to give up biking.
I let my mind wonder one evening unbenonst to me the car in front had stopped. Doing about 50/60 i didn't leave enough time to stop. Slammed on the brakes. Bike tanked slapped. I was about 3 meters away from the car doing around 40mph before i gave up trying to brake. And in one last effort i swerved the bike to the left of the car between the curb and a wall. Tank slapping past the car at about. 30mph with less than 1/2 a metre of space.
Death was inches away but i wasn't shoken up or anything. Know that feeling when your heart skips a beat. Well nothig. I guess i was in a bad mood but anyhow. My point being that even though i nearly killed myself it still didn't phase me from riding one bit. Passed my car license years ago and never worried about driving. Bikes more fun and cheaper to run. Each to their own but i think saying that you nearly had a minor accident as a reason to stop riding is poor. Accidents are going to happen. In a car. On a bike or even walking. They are unavoidable. Might as well accept that from the get go.
Either way hope you get a nice car with your money.
Yeah sorry but other people's stupidity is a silly reason to stop riding, getting a car is no safer for pedestrians, they'll still jump like lemmings under your wheels.
No that's not the main reason like guys, I wouldn't let that give me up! It's a combination of things really! For some people a car is easier for others a bike is, sadly for me a car is the easiest way for me now! Yeah it might be more expensive and everything but when I get called up for work last minute it's a million times easier to get into a car rather than spend 15 minutes getting ready and get the bike out!
