Know the feeling mate. Just done my cbt again. Ran out two years ago and I'm up for the big bike test now. Got the theory booked.

Gotta keep the pressure on though. Keep it at the fore front of my mind.

The £100 excess is only valid if YOU claim. So if you had a crash and you was at fault, the excess wouldn't apply.

But if your bike got nicked or burnt out (assuming you have Third Party Theft & Fire) they'd take £100 off the value. So you'd get £1,500 back rather than £1,600.

And you've picked a good insurer. Carole Nash were top dog when I had a moped at 16. Even sent me some stuff to mark my bike over with. Didn't bother applying it though.

As for tests, depending on your age, you get placed into categories. If I was you and you're 24 or over, I'd go for the unlimited bike restrictions. You'll have to do your test on a big bike though. Can still ride the DT without the L's though, so win, win. But if you wanted to upgrade to a 1000CC or over you could. :)

No point in doing the tests just for a 125CC if you're 19 or over. You'll want to upgrade from the 125CC eventually. So you'll want the tests 19 year old's take or the next one up. ;)
