Well looks like all my parts which were meant to be coming home have been 'lost' in the post FFS.... numberplate, bracket, oils and majority of my engine studs, dowels/pins and all nuts and washers to go with it which connects everything on the top end.
I'm livid.....
but anyhow...
Looks like I'm gonna be needing to order all this again from new but could do with some help...
First things first I don't need to use the yamaha nuts and washers to secure the head and cylinder down do I right?? theres nothing special with them no
Also take a look at this diagram
Now I'm not too sure on what I'd need to order as the diagrams a bit unclear. On the bottom of the cylinder it is obviously secured down on to the bottom end by 4 studs, nuts and dowels but in the diagram it only shows two studs, one different to the other and 1 dowel??? What I'm asking is what about the other engine studs and dowels? like would i need two more of the no.10 studs or what and how many dowels do i need for this? one for each stud?? im lost...
Similar again but for the top of the head, would i just needa order 5 no.2s to do cover all studs??
I'll be alright once I know all this but for me the diagram not very helpful, especially for the bottom end studs
Appreciate it if someone could give us a hand

The dowels are different sizes on each side that's why they have different numbers you will need two of each. I would use oem for the head nuts. I reckon you could use any nuts and washers and gasket sealer tourqued up properly if you were desperate but I wouldn't cause I don't think they are expensive anyway.

What happened to your original dowels.
Cheers lads for helping us out
Yeah ill use genuine oem head nuts that's no problem now I know there best to be gen :) but thanks dread, after all this time without it on the road ill go with genuine yammy to replace all of the lost genuine yammy parts
But you say the dowels are different sizes on each side buddy?? how comes it only shows one dowling in the diagram (no.12) and not four different dowlings?? (I'm not going against what your saying buddy, I just dont understand btw)
..And what about the studs mate...??? thats what i really dont get cus of the diagram

Two different sizes on each side. So two long ones on one side and two shorter ones on the other. One of the cases has two deeper holes to accomedate the longer dowels.
one last thing.....couple posts back you say you say theres two different sized dowels as well yeah?? just wondering because only shows one on the diagram??? slightly confused with that last bit as only one on diagram
They only put one of each so the diagram is not to cluttered, it is confusing though when you haven't done the job.
You can see in the diagram one is shorter than the other.
Ah your on about the studs right I'm guessing, I can see one stud is longer than the other but no where in the picture does it show 2 different size DOWELS :), so just to confirm all the dowels are the same size yeah and just order 4 of the same for each bottom end stud??? (Even though two of the 4 studs found on the bottom end are bigger than the other 2??
Lol I am confused now. It's my fault for calling them dowels and not studs. I have dowels on the mind cause I had a major ball ache with them sorry lol. Such a tit.
