Found a dt 125 on a flea market, marked 1dw00

The cylinder was different shaped, more cubeish and more edgy that the 3mb
And the engine looked different.. I think the carb was a dellorto
The engine seemd to be working and it had fine compression. Everything else was in really bad shape though

Other than that it looked really alot like a dt125r, same plastics and frame and such stuff...

He wanted 200euros for it(could probably get it cheaper with some bargaining), but I don't think he had any papers.

Just thought it would be interresting to know some more. Anyone knows anything more about this bike?
I didn't find much searching for "1dw00"

Surely it's worth about that all day long? Even without papers in parts?

Is a possibility the engine might be stolen though, or the bike altogether.

Heck, would make a nice project if you were after something like that. :)

yeah could  be worth that as a project and by no means are we saying the dt-rd lc engines are no good fact is if thats fitted right and running ok it could be a fast bike  the old lc engines was great .   as for the dtr side of it  plastics and tank look crappy no real value there seat not to bad then forks frame and wheels ok as parts and a bonus if the frame has numbers and can be registerd or get v5 ..

you could maybe make the money back by ripping the engine streight out and selling on

I think the guy is Finnish or somewhere around them parts of Europe.

But I guess they have the same sort of procedures over there with vehicles.

Yup seems like an rd125 engine on a dt125 frame
I don't think any of it is stolen, he said he have been screwing with bikes for his whole life, and that his children have used the bike while they were kids. He also had a homemade gokart on that car trailer.
I'm not really interrested in buying it or so, since it's in such bad shape, and the engine isn't really any particular engine, just a 20hp rd125 engine.

But thanks for the replys, I was just curious what kind of bike it was as I've never seen such an engine on that bike :)
