i use Plasti koat aswell good thing is you dont need primer with it proper plastic spry as well the great thing with it is it does not crack like normall paint and it fills in any imperfections as its quite a thick paint.
i will say if your bikes white atm and your respreying it white thats great but i did my blue pannles black and arfter a wile from offroad and the seat slightly rubbing it did rub some of the black paint off and now has slight cracks but it has been on there 2 years+ now and all i need is a clean and one lick of paint and it will look brand new again.
this was a second pannel i did to replace the first one it lasted like 8 days and i lost it haha you can see some blue but its from a garage door behind me lol

What are the best rattle cans to use for spraying the plastics on the bikes , seem to remember some thing about the paint needing to have a plastorsizer or some thing like that in it , but cant be sure it is years since I did any painting , any advise guys , apart from age and foolishness lol
Plasticote primer and paint is what you want after a sand down with some 800 grit paper, I used Halfords heavy duty laquer, seems nice and tough., don't use the paint they sell though, has nothing on plasticote cause it doesnt crack whatsover while flexing.
Your right Cal mate , that was all I did when I got it , as I was not sure how good the rest was engine wise , but now I know it is ok and have fallen in love with the little stinker , I was toying with the idea of tidying it up a bit , but have to admit I do like the used and abused look , what they used to call the oily rag condition in the Classic world , used but mechanically sound , so not sure yet but I also still have the Honda XL 200 r and want to tidy that up to move it on so plenty to do as ever
