the DT stem is a straight swap on 97-99 models, My yokes are from a 98 model YZ and using a press have pressed out the YZ stem and pressed in the DT stem there was between 0.12-0.15mm diameter difference which is not noticeable (i mean theres no play in the stem whatsoever ) slapped on some loctite for ultimate peace of mind and it just bolts straight up , i didnt have to modify the lock stops at all either  EDIT... they look extremely beastly compared to the skinny but extremely heavy OEM forks

At this point I still need to make all the trimmings fit ie caliper bracket, headlight bracket and knock up something to route the original speedo cable
