No chunkier than a mx helmet. Would want a test ride with one first. I loce mirrors on bikes. And having one where you can behind you without moving your head. Damn thats cool. But might not actually work.

It is interesting video. But gotta say to myself. Am i that shďt of a rider that i need a rear view mirror. Lovely idea and i really would like to see them do well. But i don't think i'd have one whilst i've got the dt. Maybe a sports bike but dt is so easy to look behind.

Yeah well you don't get something for nothing. Do you play off safety for looking good.

To be honest i don't think riding s bike makes you look cool. I've got a beaten up 125 with L plates that runs like a bag of nails and to the average joe sounds like a lawn mower. Now i look at myself and think i look the don. But i know other people don't. I wouldn't mind a rear view mirror like that. It's pretty sick. I like mirrors though. As i can see from your video you don't lol.

I don't like mirrors either, but I've got some sexy bar end ones and I like them. But I'd buy that helmet in a heartbeat. Awesome idea

there was a few lads on the london bikers forum that had used them and most said it become annoying as you can allways see it and that car headlights get on your nerves at night

This is true. They ought to add a simple little swiping tool. Like the vent swipe so you can swipe it on and off.

 Oi !

What's wrong with the 80's !?

that's Fookin ageist that is ....

I've a good mind to report you to whoever runs this site pal ....

oh,      Hang On ....

Right ....

I'm considering racing my scabby learner trailbike next year,

(my scabby learner trailbike that I'll never sell .... Other bikes come & go, but the DT's a keeper !)

a few enduros & whatever else comes up !

I'll go start a new thread somewhere more suitable & find out if anyone here's raced one & what sort of prep / mods might be a good idea !?

.................... Out !

..... And regarding the ReeVu lids ....

Looked at at them last year, brilliant concept, but takes some getting used to so I'm told ...

the road whizzing about behind you in your vision is supposed to be a bit freaky at first !

Night Use - they reckon they're tinted to stop lights behind bothering you ?? Dunno !?

i THINK !?  that you can push the 'mirror' bit up into the brow if you don't want to use it, & that it adjusts to suit how much or little you want to see of it !?

What worries me, is that such a fantastic idea, seems to have failed miserably in the sales stakes

You've got to wonder why ?!

It's a good idea and that, but I can't really see the point of it. I mean mirrors give you enough view of the road, when do you ever need to see directly behind you? Rather focus on what's in front of me lol

You say that but then why do cars have rear view mirrors. I think its a good idea. Looking behind can be just as inportant as looking in front. Especially on 125's and slow bikes where people will try and overtake you.

Tbh the only time I look behind me other than changing lanes etc is to check if the car behind me says police on it lol.

Can see that being a massive distraction as well in such a small area inside a helmet?

I would love to try one !

Mate of mine tried one on @ bike show a while back, said it seemed to work walking about NEC .....

But I wouldn't dare buy one without having a trial walk around in one first (unless they were 99 quid !)

i do like to see what's going on behind me & as a spotter for police cars behind, inspired !

i hear what your saying about the odd car coming past on fast sections of road, but it's so rare that these instances happen & even rarer that they cause any danger / accidents to a 125 pilot ! The cars usually only sweep past if it's really clear & safe to do so ... Now ...

... for spotting other bikes tearing up behind you when your out on fast roads !? That would be handy when I'm on the DT !

is there anything worse than being buzzed by an R6 doing 50 mph more than you on a quiet road (fair$hitMeSen !) ....

TBH .... Most other bikes are respectful & tend to sit in your mirrors for a few seconds before passing with a wide berth !

but the odd kn0bhead has given me a scare in the past !
