Excel rims?

Yeah. Respoking rims is an art. I would pay someone to have them done as opposed to doing them myself. What i would do myself is remove the tyre. Cut all the spokes loose. Remove all the spokes. Then take it back anf get a quote.

Oem yamaha ones are nearly half that price.

But yea... wheel building is a true art and the people who can do it are slowly slipping away :(

i think they are asking a bit too much. like cal said remove the wheel and spokes and get another quote, this time of the year you should get a better quote at any garage, mate of mine had his rear wheel rebuilded on a drz for 30 quid at a local garage

Had it done and dusted months ago mate, but cheers for the input. I paid £100 for a full rebuild with stainless spokes and nipples that were custom made by the bloke, who does it like that for every bike.

Really happy with the end result, looks fooking mint.

Tell me about it Cal, feels like these past few months have flown, considering i'm slowly going even more mental because i'm still working on her.

But my paint will be all finished by the end of the weekend, just got a few more bits to rub down as i wasn't happy with the shade of red the coaters did me. I'm really, really picky with my choice of red, as it's my favourite colour.

Swinger/brand new shock is on, most of de-greasing done and stainless upgrades, went fully OCD. Everything on the rear is stainless.
