My gilera runner (still got it)!!

Been a while since i posted on here seen as i never did get a dt 8( but you guys seem like 2 stroke lovers and a fair few builders on here! so heres my project

well its a start of one anyway.

i have had my runner for well over a year now! it started life stock and clean and with some tinkering and new oem parts she was out on the roads putting a smile on my face

but like everyone here. you dont buy a 2t runner 125 and leave it alone!

so  a few months after i got her i fitted:

pm 172

malossi belt

delly 25mm carb

open filter

TDR pipe

13.7gr rollers

green springs

and she was beautiful. i built it myself and she ran like a champ popping wheelies and giving me no grief for over 3k! heres how she looked ...... Seanyftw on here can vouch for the power this thing had against his dt

Then sadly the ex girlfreidn wanted to try and ride it. even with me on the back she balls up and to save a head on with a hedge and a bank followed by a road....i threw on the front brake and slammed by beautiful pipe and panels on the floor :huh: looked like this..

So i struggled to find decent panels to replace those that where damaged. and decided to buy a full set of black panels off a runner on ebay and collected them. which then looked like this with the standard exhaust as i sold the TDR.. it upset me to see my beloved pipe dented

anyway the runner was never my daily comuter i used an rs 125, this then started to sound rough. so i quickly px'd it for an sv650 for my brother and the runner became my every day bike :embarrest: not what i wanted but with a stock airfilter and some roller adjustments she was fine and still pulled 78 clocked via gps haha

I then purchased my new bike. my honda msx for comuting to work on

so the runner went into storage and i stripped her down to an extent

:thumbup::thumbup:

i also started to go a little made with the cash on parts which lead to this!

i wont list everything but its a fair size parts collection haha and by no means complete

and after selling my panels on ebay minus the cx grab rail (for £26! could have cried at that price i would have kept them as spares) she now sits floating away with no shoes as im getting parts ready for the powder coaters

the colour scheme.....white, very white haha

Im now stuck thinking i really should strip the frame and get it powder coated at the same time and do the project properly? i just dont know how big of a hassle/job stripping the loom and such is?

the reds where fairly damaged, i also loved them as they where near mint and original! the foot boards etc had collapsed after he crash and cracks in most panels meant they no longer looked the part

the blacks happened to be on ebay for 60 quid buy it now so as they where a lot more rigid and included a vx grab rail i picked them up

the frame is pretty hidden indeed, getting it powered coated more so as it will be my first frame up build so wanted it done from scratch to a high standard

Loads of parts. Lovely.

I don't think private plates are pointless. If you've got lots of spare cash then wicked.
