Repacking DEP End Can
Permalink

Does anyone know how to or can give me a brief run down on how to repack the end can of a DEP pipe.

As a few people have mentioned bike is sounding GASH! I've decided it's not the PV or that it's blowing so it must be the packing on the end can.

Usually I don't notice cause I ride with my music on. But this morning I did notice that it's just too loud!

Hahahhaa Calconut! You're a funny bugger aren't you?

Take the end cap off by removing the rivets, remove the old wadding, replace with new wadding and pack in neatly and tightly, re-attach end cap with new rivets, done.

No word of a lie. It was easier than typing this message.

Take an 8mm drill bit to the middle of the rivits. Drill them out. And the sheathing comes out. Then repack the wadding. New rivits back on. Bish bash bosh. Easy job.

Exhaust wadding on ebay for about 10er. I think pjme sell it too. Loft insulation is a cheap alternative.

Something like this. Maybe measure it or something. I jjst bought generic stuff and cut it down to size.
