I don't see a donation button?

But I believe the owner is British. If it's Canadian the donation is probably going to activeboard.com instead of the forum...

Yeah we've been discussing some ideas on how to sort this forum out.

We want to get rid of this pest scammer. Currently we're not accepting new members.

My advice is to wait to hear from Seiki.

Even if it isn't the same person, there will always be scammers on here. The only way to block it out is to cut all deals off, but then forum people are losing out.

Really isn't much that can be done, if people aren't vigilant.

Some people only learn when they've been bitten. As the saying goes and I quote "Once bitten, twice shy."

No there are things you can do mate.

I won't bother explaining it because no doubt Seiki will post all about it and you can learn something new.

would it not be possible to make the for sale and wanted  section non visable until you have a 100 posts and any 1 under a 100 posts that asks for parts or trys to sell things should be warned and post removed

The donations board was re-activated so I could show the mods how we put money in for Gold membership. But after checking it out Gold membership isn't all that great. I wont allow me to limit peoples posts or anything like that, we'd need a completely new forum host etc.

I understand it's a bit touch and go selling buying or even posting at the moment and that's why we're taking no new members until it's all sorted out. Just ask that meanwhile people keep their wits about them.

do you have the function to back up this free forum and all posts and contents ?

if so would it not be possible to then buy the same full forum software and and sett it up on another server .

There is no automation for this.

We've already done this months ago but people were just spamming to get the minimum posts then asking for permission.

There are ways around the scammer issue.

So where do we stand on the paid membership bit, I for one don't mind paying a small fee to use the forum, couldn't the for sale ect not be open to paid members only, that way even your scammer would have to pay. I know everyone doesn't always agree with fees, but if like in this case is a benefit to all must be worth at least a vote or something.

It's a bit more regulated that. But I reckon we sort out this scammer issue first. Rid the forum of him cause he still has a bunch of accounts.

Nah I meant that that's a really good idea. As the people Seiki would need to accept would be less than that if it were posts.

Definitely tasty food!
