av just fitted new pads but had all fluid drained 4 weeks now wont drag fluid thru been at it half hour tryin to bleed em n fluid stayin same not goin thru pipes !!
You have the bleed screw undone calliper side mate? Just undo the bleed screw or take it off and pump until it comes gushing out. Then bleed it. Also here you can put your finger over the top and actually see if its pressurising.
what while its full of fluid ? dont understand why its actin the t**t was fine b4 the 3 month layup
runnin outa daylight so av to av a look after work tomorrow !so no goin to work on bike like i hoped grrrr

Yeah. So smother it and apply pressure to it and that should aid it.
You're not missing the ball bearing out the calliper are you? There is not much you can go wrong. Sometimes they can just be a bitch to bleed. Pumping the lever to pressurise it then release the nipple does the trick. I have needed to resort to putting my mouth on the reservoir. nasty as it is it was the only way I could get it to bleed.
problem can happen if you dont have a pipe on the nipple as you push break it pumps then as you let go it can suck back some air so your getting no where thats why I use the clear pipe with fluid in the pipe you can see as you pump the air bubbles and fluid move .
maybe also try with the nipple open puchin the piston in to force air and fluid out .
Yeah definitely. That's not bleeding what I'm saying. It's just trying to get fluid out. I don't want to belittle him. I'm sure he's aware of how to bleed a brake system.
the main problem is all the lines to the brakes av been totally off the bike as i stripped it to bits
Bled front in 5 mins wiv none return one man bleed kit
piston on rear brake is all way in too
still gettin air n bit of fluid comin out but not much ! been at it a hour n half so far
You don't want those pistons all the way out mate. Push them back in. Seat the calliper on the disc. Personally I would bleed the line first. So take the line off the calliper. with one hand place two fingers over the hose end. Pump the brake and release with the pedal depressed. Then back on the hose. Pump and release with the pedal depressed. Once you get fluid squirting out you know that fluid is travelling free enough. Fit it back to the calliper and do the same technique.
would say last resort take the entire break system off and strip it right down as much as you can clean and check everything then put it all back together and try again .
bet when you do finaly do it or figure it out you use the words that start with F as it was something so simple that you maybe over looked .
some other ideas from google
You mite try filling your master cylinder then unhook the line at the caliper and let it gravity floe for a short time then hook it back up and re bleed
tap the brake line as your bleeding to get every air bubble out,
Most likely your MC has air in it. Turn it different angles to force the air out. Also adjust your lever to go far in.
this video is a great tip push loosen- tighten release
Put your finger over the bleed screw. Pump the brakes. Then let your finger off the bleed screw.
Also put your mouth over the reservoir and blow down it whilst pumping.
Not a good idea to put mouth near brake fluid as it's highly poisonous.
Uuuuhhhhhh.....(drool rolls down my cheek) doh! That's why I lost all those brain cells!
Yeah brake fluid isn't healthy lol. I wouldn't reccomend it if he didn't know how to bleed brakes. But as said he's getting a little fed up. I know EXACTLY what that feels like. Took me weeks to bleed my front brake and that method worked for me. I have got these easy bleed kit that does the same thing. You pressurise the master cylinder to aid with the bleed. But it didn't have the right cap for the reservoir.
Here ya go Dave, same set up as this, crack open the nipple, when the tubing is over it, draw just a tiny amount of fluid out, the syringe then acts as a one way non return valve for the air that's in the system, you can also reverse fill the system using the syringe.
Would a pressure bleeding kit work ? one of lads at works got one if it will fit!! where n what should i check b4 torchin this f**kin back brake ppl any helps would be great Thanks 4 pics Nev
where do u get such a syringe
also when i tried to blow down brake line nearly burst a lung ! nowt happened

Dunna be blowing and getting yer gob near brake fluid Dave it really is poisonous mate, and not just a dodgy belly, syringe I got from my nearest Mole Valley Farmers store near me but a vets supplies either online or a local one that specialises in livestock you'll get one from.
sounds to me this reverse bleeding larks the way to go so guess i'm gonna pay too much n go the ebay way
Thaks MDK for the ebay idea
just one thing wud this pressure bleed kit my mates got work/be safe to use on bike ???
Dave you can do the reverse bleed using the syringe I have, dunna be paying daft money on the same stuff at inflated prices mate, like I say, 2 syringes cost me £1.40 and ten bobs worth of clear tubing.
