just peered into loom where orange wire from coil goes n cant see a connector , seems to run all the way to black box sat on frame under tank , why I ask is that on all pics ive seen of dt coils the wire has a bullet connector on end of wire but cant see same on the wiring on my 06 dtx
any suggestions

Av ordered new coil lead n cap so at least they will be all good !
one thing I wont get any power thru orange lead until I press starter will I ?? but what should I get ?? 12 v ??

From the negative terminal to anywhere on the bile should be 12v.
When I did my engine transplant I found I had total electrical failure. Nothing worked. I just went around every single wire on the bike. Doing continuty until I found the problem :/ very frustrating. Turned out that a non related wire had comepletely corroded. I didn't even touch it in the transplant. But it stopped working. Just one of those things I guess.
got new coil tested wiv meter where mine read 15.000 ohms new un reads 8.32 which is correct as manual says shud read between 7 to 9.000 ohms hope it cures it find out Saturday fingers crossed
