Absolute worst case scenario would but to drill them out.

You haven't rounded off the heads or anything have you?

What I do is heat it up spray a lubricating agent, let it cool. Heat it up, lube. Repeat a few times.

Also an impact drive really helps.

no it hasn't been rounded off yet, knew not to risk it as I rounded a 10mm bolt going through the sub frame via the exhaust bracket, had to smash a 9mm socket to re-carve it; turns out just by smashing it loosened it off abit and I was able to just about get it turning with a pair of pliers then wound it out

I'm definitely dipping every bolt on my bike in a bit of copper grease before I put it back on from now on

Just shock the bolt with a hammer hit the Allen key with a hammer should work but don't proper smack it

Go to halfords and pick one of these up. One of my favourite tools in the garage.

You fit the allen head in. And smash the hell out of the wrench with a hammer. The force generates a twisting motion that uses massive force but only a tiny turn to undo bolts. Saves rounding heads.

Cal122 or 2strokemx, what sort of mileage do you get on your bikes before you need to switch the reserve tank on?

Just go for it, if it snap's you have just released the tension and it will come off very easy with a drill and small drill bit turning the way the bolt unscrews

Don't think you can round off an allen head unless your using the wrong key.

One of my favourite tools. Relieve your stress whilst undoing bolts. Love it.

Only gone and got the fkin bolts out aint i? I smashed the s*** out of the allen until the allen key snapped, then i put a mole grip on the bend of the allen to use as a lever; it could support my full body weight :/ so i leant on it with a straight arm and lightly bounced until it came free!! Hurrah!!!!

Life lesson; copper mother fkin grease on every bolt before fitting back on the bike

+1 for tapping it with a hammer. Put allen key on said bolt's then just tap the hammer, if it doesn't go after a few taps give up, or you'll do the head in.
