Problem Carb?

Having some serious issues with a recent build. I can get the bike running no problem at all however -

If I rev it, then the rpm will hang quite high and take time to go back to idle.

I have adjusted the pilot for the fastest idle at tick over (which is hard to maintain) and throttle response seems good with no bogging

It is fitted with a full DEP pipe, 240 main and 25 pilot. The pilot is only 3/4 of a turn out though to get the best response.

Throttle cable is free and returns well and I can see no visible splits or signs of air leaks. Crank seals were recently replaced too apparently.

Any suggestions please ????

Spray carb cleaner on the engine whilst running, if it cuts out then there's an airleak from that area. Do it an area at a time, around the carb and inlet, head and base gasket join.

Take it for a ride, get some fuel through that carb.
