I'll put it in the pictures section, as I ain't selling it. Just want to get an idea of the value, as it'll be up for sale next summer if all goes to plan.

Its a 1997 DTR. Acerbis tail tidy DEP expansion chamber, Athena silencer. DID chain and sprockets, full engine rebuild and respray by Norfe about 1-2,000 miles ago.

I have every single part to revert it back to standard form, except the colour scheme, which I cannot change. And the tank (someone put the wrong screw to hold the side panel on and put a hole in the tank so just threw it in the bin and bought a blue one off eBay)

A lot more if you spend a little sorting it out. £200 will see you a brand graphics kit and plastics all round and it will increase the price dramatically.

That involves a new tank, new panels at the back and a new headlight cowl. I'll chuck the DTR setup and all the other parts to revert it to standard in. The only non-standard thing I don't have is a silencer it came with an old DEP silencer which had a hairline crack so binned it.

could totaly change the look by just adding a black tank and light cover and maybe paint or replace side pannels along with a good clean polish and rust spots touch up .

as it stands looks like a not very loved bike with random color plastics picked up at carboots or jumblesales lol

This is what it's supposed to look like:

yamaha__dt_125_1997_3_lgw.jpg

And the white panels were to make it look more like an MX'er bad idea.

Also forgot to throw in the fact the frame has been resprayed and had a nut and bolt restoration with stainless bolts everywhere.

What's that got to do with anything. If you've swapped all the plastics over it becomes a blue DTR.

Good thinking as a matter of fact. Does it cost to change colours with the DVLA? And does it come in the special notes as "changed colour from black to blue"

I'm broke at the mo. :(

Still debating on whether to get blue or just whip it all black again.

It's a hard choice, the tank and headlight cowl are hardest part's to source so it's a shame they don't match.

You could be waiting a long time on either so it's really good you're planning ahead.

If it comes to it I'll just get the tank and headlight cowl resprayed.

My current headlight cowl is missing on of the holes for the bolt as someone's either stolen or attempted to steal it on the past owner(s).

I don't know if sprayed panel's will add much value. Those porto one's are cheap enough, I managed to source a few new OEM panels around Europe for my project.

All of my panels are sprayed white, except the rear right one which is new from Portugal as mine fell off.

As it stands I'd say a grand, no more...
As Callum said, a bit of TLC and it'd be worth more

Very nice Scrin.

I actually feel sorry that other one MDK. It looks very tidy. If he spent the right money on Graphics and plastics and got it all blue that would be worth good money. But mismatch panels etc...not good.

I'll be dropping my tank off to get resprayed black (with headlight cowl) and buying new black plastics soon.

Will straight swap for a black one if you have one? biggrin Goes to anyone based in or near Leicester that does...

Must be in similar condition, mine has odd scratches here and there and the odd speck of rust.
