Do you mean the 170 athena top end?

If so then it's good if you're after more bottom/mid, doesn't do jack shizzle to top end unless you have the kit tinkered with even further.

I found the same and if you like doing bottom end rebuilds then it is perfect

www.athenaparts.com/eng/kits/view/7492/cylinder-kit-with-head-125-cc

Obviously not looking into this for a performance enhancement but instead just a stock replacement cylinder as you cannot buy them from Yamaha any more.

You can buy them(OEM cylinders) from wemoto with the part number for 280 if I remember right.

I have not seen the oem cylinder from them, I know they sell the athena 125 cylinder and they have added the 170 cylinder when I spoke to them last week.

Try searching the part number confuse

It's £320 inc VAT but this is just the cylinder, no PV/head/piston

Why would you bother with either though, it's cheaper to repair the barrel you have or buy one and repair it?

Because its alot cheaper to buy than a genuine OEM from Yamaha. Like any other aftermarket replacement.
