You can stand next to it and have to double check its running, theyve got bafles and cat in front section of exhaust, then great big end can just stifles any noise!

I don't understand, I'm always in the powerband when I go off roading and do every weekend for sometimes 8 hours.

This is why plebs who do not know how to properly maintain their bike, don't deserve one in the first place...

Calum said the dt's are so restricted it doesn't really mater if they get ragged for abit, and by ragged that means powerband constant for 1-2 hours, unless your in a big area not many people could do that anyway

I tell myself warming it up properly is what keeps mine from breaking down.

I do 10-15 mins at 9-10k(70mph) revs sometimes when I jump on the dual carriage way for around 15 miles to get to my granddads

On my first DT I rode it home 70 miles at 55mph bouncing off the 7k limiter(it was restricted) no stops.

Maybe the bike was just ready to go? Or he try'd going into the band from cold.

Also Calum says when his bike was stolen it was ragged with no oil and still ran fine.

I have found DT's to be very reliable, you have to remember they are in a low state of tune for a 125 2stroke engine.

I would expect 15-20k miles from a new DT engine with only oil changes and maybe and head gasket/clutch gasket if they go.

I used to warm her up,then gentle road threw town for2-3miles then out onto main road for 8mile blast,he said exspansion chamber was full bits so gues piston shattered, only done 2000 miles on the engine that norfe put together,so im thinking he forgot two stroke, hed never had bike with kickstart even!
Anyway hopefully the spare top end i included has gotten him back on the road

A standard dtre can be held flat out for a very long period of time without any worries. The powervalve closes at 9'500 and it'll only rev to 10. Happy days.

Why the hell? The bike was rebuilt by Norfe.

Oh wait, it was a premix bike, wasn't it? That idiot hasn't put oil in the fuel and ragged it. Where on FB is it shown as blown up?

To be honest, I'll be questioning his maintenance on the WR.

I'd be fuming if I sold mine and they blew it up, then again, it wouldn't be my problem any more, but I'd still offer him about £500 for it back hahahahah. New topend and it's good to go.

he messaged me saying itd gone bang the next day,id think no oil, being used to a four stoke and not needing to mix oil in fuel,be easy mistake to make.
I gave him complete top end and few other bits and pieces I had for the dt as they weren't no good to me.
oil in wr looks clean and correct level,no strange noises, seems to go ok I don't do loadsa miles on it so should last ages (fingers crossed!)

Take it out for a nice ride down the country lanes. Then see how it is after and if any strange noises. Should be fine, probably been taking it to a garage for regular servicing.

I loved the look of my old wr but the brakes and engine let it down so bad I ended up selling it from new within a year 8-(

I picked up a full arrow system for £120 delivered (2nd hand) dont go no faster but sounds nicer and i think getting rid of cat and restrictor gives engine easier life,im 6' 18stone and if i get 70mph its orgasym time lol, brakes are brilliant £8 fuel gets me around 140 miles
