Finished work today at the petrol station I work at, was about to ride home to a party I had arranged when I noticed a guy layed on his back looking under his bike. normally I wouldnt stop to think about it and would just leave them to it. But I though its nice to ask if he is ok just incase.
He said "yeah, if I had some tools I would be" funny enough it was his lucky day, I always carry a minimal amount of tools just incase. So I helped him take apart his bike and track down a oil leak which was going all over his back tire and causing him to fish tail on the motorway.
after about 45mins I left for home again. I dunno what happened to the guy, if he made it home on the bike or what not but I guess it was a good job I asked and hopfully one day if I need it someone would do the same.
once spotteda guy on a zzr 1100 broke down pulled over on my tzr 4dl and after a little chat we worked out his battery had died as I was closeish to home and had spares at home I wipped of the side cover and gave him my battery it had just enuf power to start his bike and he was over the moon and asked for my name and address to bring me back the battery once he was sorted ...
a week or so went by and I never expected to hear from the guy so was shocked when he sent me £50 cash in the post with a thank you card .
also broke down myself once and had a white van man pull over and say get it in the back pall ill take you home ..he even turned down when I offerd him £20 ..
I've seriously regretted not helping a couple of people ive seen by the road. Had places to go etc. I'd want people to stop and help if they could so i will be next time i see it.
some nice people out there, im glad you guys are like that. hopfully if I ever break down with somthing I cant fix in a crappy place someone would turn up.
