Winter doesn't help but just losing interest all together, since I sold my last DT.
Haven't had the KTM out for a month, got a few new parts for it that have been sitting in the shed for the same period of time.
For as long as I can remember, since I got my first mini moto (I think I was 11) it's been bikes bikes bikes! I just don't know anymore :(
Haven't been here for a while but seems to be pretty quiet whenever I do drop In
Anybody else lose Interest in bikes at some point for whatever reason?
Out of all my bikes, my 3 DT's will always be my favorites despite the slow engine non existent suspension. Something special about DT's and the people who own them.
So after 7years on road, 15 points and 11 bikes I may be putting the leathers and helmets away for a while.
p.s Cheers for all the help, information and luls

I feel like that sometimes, ive never rode for over 2 years now since becoming ill and then having my heart bypass. However that going to change soon after seeing the surgeon who carried out the op on Friday gone as I was having trouble with my sternum healing properly. He x-rayed it and said im good to go in January for off road riding so im going to get my KTM ship shape for then, Ive only used it about half a dozen times from new but always resisted selling because when I bought it I said it would see me out till I retired from enduro riding but I think ive still got a few years of being able to hang onto it left.
Im sure you will get your enthusiasm back, shame you don't live up this way you could take your KTM out pushing and pulling with us lol.............
I went through a phase of this. I packed my DT away for about 6 months. Then got back into MX bikes and faster bikes, then crashed. Then quit bikes altogether and got the DT back and quit the off-road illegal life. Now pursuing my full license. Granted some things put me off riding, and some things annoy me. Or days I don't feel like riding, that's when the bike sits in the shed unused for them days.
The crusty old git has gone through this many times over the years but don't panic it keeps coming back , it never leaves you totally , this year has not seen a lot of riding , and less marshaling than previous years , but am still planning for next year and hopefully do a bit more but am planning some major changes , I have found this year that the big bike The Pan ST1100 is getting too heavy for me so am going to have a sort out I have a XL200r that wants a bit of tlc that I cant be bothered with I took it for its mot in Octiber and it had only done 2 miles in the last two years so that is going and then the big baby that has been with me for 12 years now is going and in their place I am looking for a Yamaha Serow for longer runs and light enough for on the back of the Bugilow on the rack , as for the stinker she is a keeper for local fun , so plenty of plans for 2015 , now that the Bugilow is about finished and I have just about got caught up with the list that the boss has been waving under my nose for months ,I should be showing my face on here a bit more often again sorry chaps but some one has to put up with me it may as well be you ha ha ha
I have been the same lately, Last time I rode my bike was in April. Got pulled over by biker cops for my rear L plate, couldn,t be bothered going and buying one and installing it for about three weeks.
Went out to sort it and relized the fork seal on the right was leaking very badly.
Not touched the bike since lol. Pritty shocking really.
Will never sell it unless I am down to my last tin of baked beans,
Not doing another CBT either, and I can,t be bothered doing direct access or want to pay for it.,
Its the cold that gets me, just makes hard work of everything... Riding and tinkering. Not to mention the garage I use is piled with ****! Absaloutely cannot work in a messy environment!
have been mad about bikes since I was a teenager . Have had them since I was 18. when I got married my bandit 12 got nicked so when the insurance money came through I brought a yam 750 virago ( felt like a change and it was some thing to do up.) then the x decided I didn't match the curtains and got the boot. So lost a bloody big shed I'd built my dog and a kmx 200 that I had had for a couple of years and had striped to rebuild. The virago was round my dads so didn't lose that. But I totally lost the plot with life for a bit so ended up selling the yam to a local bike shop for penny's .fast forward a few years have the bike bug again it never goes it just sleeps for a while. women = trouble.... bike = fun...
See, the trick is to find a woman thats interested in bikes and riding also... Normally lesbo's though lol
I dont see how you can get bored, you will never be the fastest on a bike so that just means you can always get better, but road riding yeh thats boring unless you are riding silly
I had a time like this, had 2 DT's (1 enduro and 1 supermoto) both were running but only one was road worthy. Both stayed in the shed all year round whilst I was pottering around with other ****. Got the sumo out and did my CBT and got back on it. Did about 3k miles in a month lol. It's good to have time away, makes you realise how fun it really is
