I haven't died...

I am still around. Just haven't been on the forum too much because I've had alot of **** at home to sort out. Not currently working due to the spell at her majestys pleasure I had to endure 5 years ago STILL biting me in the ass. Don't have a bike anymore as the VTR went to heaven as it was written off.

Currently though, I do have this.. I'm struggling to even find someone to swap a puchi maxxi for :( I want another supermoto!

VW golf GTI mk4. AGU engine, k03s turbo, running about 180bhp atm. Waiting on a k04, manifold and s3 injectors, remap again, decat and should see around 290bhp.. Ignore the ****ty spoiler mounted indicators, they are a horrific mod by the ex owner and I can't get the spoiler off without damaging paintwork!

That is unless I can find someone to swap it for a bike!

I never understood peoples fascination with Golfs. I'm sure they're brilliant cars, but people rave about them like they're THE car to have, even if it's a crap 1.6 or something.

Glad to see you're still knocking about Carlos

Think I remember you mentioning the VTR last time you popped on. If memory serves me correctly a car (possibly a taxi?) ran a red light and you hit the rear side of their car?

And the thing with swapping cars for bikes, is that not many bikers want a car unless it's winter, then some do. But most can't get touched on insurance so don't bother with them (the case for me also.)

Sadly they arent worth alot to most people. Only VW fans. Although the one I have with the AGU engine is the sort after one as it's the one that can be made to make almost 1000bhp from a 1.8.. lol

Cal.. The cars are good, it's the best platform for most VW people (Apart from mk1 golfs, buses and Jettas and stuff). As much as I love a VW if someone offered me a bike for it I'd swap for sure. Depending on the state of it and what bike it was. Atm though I'm loving it, had some little faggot fan boy try race me in his Saxo VTS (Claiming it was chipped and running 150bhp), needless to say, running 16psi of boost soon saw him being left in the dust. :D

I'm sure they are Carlos. But every man and their dog has one. Anyone who has one thinks they're the dogs bollocks, even if it's the proper base model. And even my 1989 technology 1.3 Toyota Starlet ripped up a 14 plate golf. Pretty poor considering how dated my motor is.

But I bought my Jap crap car cause they're fast. But they offer no luxury unlike the golf. The interior is cheap. And obviously dated. Still this JDM motor has some very sophisticated equipment as standard. LSD, A/C, climate control. Electric mirrors. Factory fitted boost controller. So you can turn the boost up and down. Boost gauge as factory. Central locking and electric mirrors. Not bad for a 21 year old motor.

Throw up a video of it Cal. Can do an on-board strapping the Go-Pro to the passenger head rest and doesn't show the speed-o if you're a speed demon.

Aye, their not amazing but they have alot of potential. For instance, currently my car is sitting at roughly 190bhp. That's with a K03s turbo (Same as a Seat Leon Cupra), closed forced air induction kit, side mount intercooler, revo remap and forge 007 recirculation valve. If I was to simply change the turbo to a K04 (Audi S3 etc) I could hike the power up to 270bhp, if I was then to change to a twin core front mount intercooler, turbo back exhaust system, stage 2 remap, Audi S3 injectors, 4-bar fuel regulator etc. I could see 350-400bhp. By that time I'd need an LSD (As the 1.8ts didn't come with one). They have awesome amounts of potential and I *think*, some of the 1.8t engines came with forged internals as standard.. hence the 1000bhp 1.8t engines floating around.

Don't get me wrong though, I mean I'm a VW fanboy so I'm biased but give me an S14, R32 Skyline, Nissan Pulsar, Starlet etc anyday. Love the old Jap metals!

Hold on to your seat. It's on 208k. 170 of that is motorway mileage though lol. Cambelt has been done twice and the turbo has been replace twice, three times if you count the K03s that I've swapped for the standard. Regular oil changes and stuff and surprisingly it's still powerfull and a strong engine. Plans in the pipeline to rebuild it soon though.
