chunk missing?

hi as you can see it looks like there is missing a little chunk above my exhaust port. one day my bike rode very bad, bad compression. i found out that my piston had lost a chunk as you can see but no other damages but now it look like there is missing a little bit above my exhaust port. so maybe the piston took a piece with it on the way. Do i need a rebore? or could it just be oil and exhaust laying right on top and then it just looks like its missing? i cant feel it good enough with my fingers?

I did have a look. It's hard to tell. Naturally the piston is nackered. And that barrel is suspect. For the small price I'd have a specialist have a look. Personally.

when i put the piston in and move it to the end of the exhaust port it looks like this. do you think i would lose much power driving with it?

Firstly you HAVE to scrap that pistn. That's buggered. And secondly I'd scrap the barrel. Personally. Probably be alright but at the end of the day, do you really want it seizing on you?

Yeah the plan was to buy a new piston and hone the barrel properly but so do you think the barrel is not usable?

that cylinder will not be ok...you have a gap where the gases will escape- not combusting properly.probably need resleeving!

I would scrap it. Even if it works it would be under powered.

I reckon it would still work. But wouldn't be worth using. The piston is travelling at such a rate that I doubt it would make it not work.

Never seen that kind of damage before. Lucky the piece never dropped down into the crank and smashed the cases.
