torquing down a cylinder head whilst engine is in the frame

Is there anyway of doing as I've just got my cylinder rebored and I want to torque the head down correctly but there seems to be no way to torque down of doing whilst the engine is in the frame due to the down tube of the frame. I don't really want torque down 4 of the nuts correctly and then just guess with the last one as its bound to fail I'll take the engine out if I have to but what a hassle especially as I'll have to re torque them again after a few hundred miles.confuseconfuseconfuse

It won't fail mate I guarantee you. Just do them in the correct pattern, evenly. then the last one just tight enough. I've never torqued the head bolts and they've been absolutely fine.

Torqing is always funny. You would have thought things like head bolts would be so crucial to get right; but as long as the bolts are evenly tightened there's not really much to go wrong.

It is pain to get into and I rarely use a torque on the cylinder head. So hard to get to. But you can get a feel for on another nut and use a spanner the same length as the torque wrench and go to that.

On a four stroke they need to be boom ting. But on a two stroke, well the engine is only going to last 10K miles till it needs the head doing. So no biggy.
