just got back from my local yamaha centre and i asked them if the tdr exhaust was the same as the dt one and he looked through the micro and said NOPE part numbers are different and he looked at the parts and said they are different the mounting brackets are in different places.
2tscreamer you can do better than that when ya get 5 mins can you measure the lenth of the back pipe and measure were abouts the brackets are robskis right i can weld new ones on as long as the bends and lenths are the same we are in buisness.....
hey guys love your atricles on the tdr i love my tdr.
ive had a little trouble with mine
the power was fading away around 7000rpm so i done all the de restriction myself and still no good.anyway to cut a long story short it was the exhaust not the front expansion pipe it was the back box so i cut the two ends of it and welded all the baffles out then welded it closed and WOW its to fast now anyway im looking for a sports back box now so my question is where can i get one any help would be great
Adding a rear can such as DEP or Arrow wont give you any power performance gains but it will give you a nice exhaust note.
I recently landed on a rear Dep can for a DTR at a breakers i found on Ebay but it didnt fit with out a lot of mods. So depending on how confident you are with a hacksaw I'd check there first. Here's one i found....http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/YAMAHA-DTR-125-TAIL-PIPE-DEP_W0QQitemZ8064162541QQcategoryZ10490QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem.
Unless you can get one specificaly for the TDR it beats chopping up a new one at 80quid
my DEP tail pipe dont fit either just cut the mounting bracket of and do a sports wrap around one to line it up :D
also cut the catalict out of the expansion chamber or it will rot from the inside and you will start firing chunks of metal out the exhaust (BTW it does look very cool at night though)
