Anyone got any info on the float bowl height for a mikuni carb. Been looking at some DTR settings but i think they are not the same.

16mm--17mm m8 according to my tdr yamaha workshop folder

Cheers mate.....set it to 17mm this afternoon and it seems to have done the trick.


Where did you "borrow" the workshop folder from? Could do with borrowing one of them myself

i borrowed it from my local yamaha centre how said i could borrow it they just never told me how long i could borrow it so now its mine LMFAO


give me a couple of days and il photo it page by page and send it to ya i also have an electrical diagram for it

Nice one cheers mate!!!!


went out to the shed today...hmmm funny smell of fuel......only left the fuel tap on and the carb still seems to be drippin only leaks after the engine has been runnin so back to the drawing board. Wonderin if its the needle cos i move the circlip down a notch

could be the float inlet seal gone mate you now that plunger bit that the float is attached to the lets the petrol in,its a common problem.


why did you drop the needle?

oooohhhh....didnt know about that is it an o ring i can change or do i need a new plunger thingy from yam?

i think the plunger bit comes as one unit with the o ring  you can check it to see if it works before you buy one just take your carb apart and have a look blow though the fuel inlet with the float up and if it leaks through air then youl need a new one
