Few recent snaps of the er6

Well folks, been busy recently enjoying the fook outta the Kwak! biggrin  It's an absolute beast to ride (even while restricted), but there's a flat spot from 1k-3k revs which is very annoying when cornering and going around roundabouts! Saving up atm for a Two Brothers Juice Box so that I can map it for the exhaust!  I'm after giving up the drink and all to pump money into it!   Recently got a tail tidy and smaller reg for it, looks miles better:

SAM_0989_zps05859979.jpg

Other good news:  I have my project speedfight running & driving perfect now, so getting ready to stick it up on the local classifieds for a bit of extra money! Looking for a DTR for cheap now as my next project bike with the profit I make! biggrin

Cheers bro! Yeah, the speedfight is up for sale now! Got some good education fixing it up so it fulfilled its purpose! smile

No, I'm waiting until I'm 24 to do the full test, because if your 24 or over here and pass the full test you can get an unrestricted license straight away! So I can get onto what ever size bike I want!! biggrin  I'm thinking Kawasaki z750r as my next bike... but ye never know what will be around when I've the money together, so keeping my options open!

tbh the flat spot i will bet money on is the restricted and putting a box on it and mapping is a total wast of time as its restricted.

my 650 run like a bag of **** with the restrictor in did 80mph tops and did a 100 miles to a tank

removed the washers and now it will do 120ish happily and do around the 240mark on a tank

thats 140 miles more on a tank its madness

It's only restricted at the throttle! there's a throttle stop on it which stops me from opening the throttle to the max! I've gotten 110mph out of it as is, and it revs to 8k rather than the 11k redline! I'm nearly certain there's a K&N filter in it too, so I reckon the juice box will sort out the flat spot! As I said, it's still a little beast even though its restricted! biggrin

Yeah I'm loving it mate!  Wasn't sure about the "sports" bike route at the start (Was looking for a sumo) but I'm actually glad I did it now!  I mean ye barely even have to try and drive it and all of a sudden yer up to 60mph! Drives so smooth as well, especially compared to the TDR.... My god would u know yer doing 60 on the TDR! haha!! It is far too easy to get the knee down on, and I haven't even got sliders yet! Oops! confuse

As for the restriction, yeah I wouldn't have been able to get insured on the bike if it didn't have a restriction. It cost me 90 to change my policy over from the TDR for the next 7-8months! Fairly happy with that! biggrin  What bike do you have restricted?  And what hp is it dropped down to?

I had the kawasaki zzr 600 with a restrictor kit  ,,  i fitted an used it very  briefly  then pulled it out.   the insurance never asked  for proof of it  even tho i had it all..

so now i got the r6  undergoing its insurance setup  but they havnt asked this time either .  not an issue  if they do ,

i can get the restrictor an fit it    but im not using the bike myself at the moment so  no rush

Yeah, yours does look a lot slimer than mine alright! confuse  Thats odd! maybe because yers are worn in a LOT more than mine? There's only about 1500 miles on mine, probably even less! They were brand new on it when I bought the bike! It's a Michelin Pilot 2!  You been getting the sand paper on to the sides of them tyres nath?? biggrin haha!

Well lads, How's it going?

Been a while since I've been on here! Decided to post updates in here rather than starting a new thread! Was on Holidays for 2 weeks a month back and done my IBT (or CBT to you guys) a week or two ago, so haven't really had much money to throw at the ER6!  Plus I'm starting back college on Monday week, so tied up with that!  I have however made a few little "safety" upgrades:

New HJC FG15 lid - Probably the most comfortable & Quietest lids I have ever worn! 5/5 for me!
DSC_0030_zps17b3d3c0.jpg

R&G Bar-End Sliders - Mainly for looks, as originals were rusting
DSC_0035_zpsf570ab31.jpg

And lastly a real carbon Fender Extender - Which was damaged upon arrival!!! disbelieffurious
DSC_0037_zpsb043bbb9.jpg

I have ordered a Blue silicone hose kit as well which I am expecting some time next week.... I'm giving the radiator a clean out and new coolant so decided to spice it up a bit with new hosing too! biggrin  Other than that just been out enjoying the last bit of the nice weather, before the dreaded Irish winter! evileye

DSC_0007_zpsb9f65fd9.jpg

Oh yeahhhh..... and raging it!! Missed out on a DTR 125 on the local classifieds by 1 hour! cry  Was advertised for 400euro! Would have made a perfect little project! Just needed a new carb and service to get it on the road! GUTTED!!!  Not often one pops up for sale here.... let alone for that cheap! no

Anyways, how the FCUK are you guys??  All keeping well I hope? biggrin

Hi mate love the bike you must be well chuffed with it.

Im on the look for a DT for a project to but nothing is coming up, shame about missing that one, you have to be so fast at going and getting it! Luckily my mate just got a tow bar and bike trail or so I can get to them fast now.

Lovely photos dude. Sounds like you've been quite hectic recently.

Forum's died a little. Mainly because people like yourselves have moved on. Projects have frozen. Haven't heard from NEV in such a long time. Somebody said they were going yo get a hold of him...

Cheers lads!

@Slob  yeah that's the problem for me, my mate who has a van works all week and drinks all weekend so it's hard to get him to pick up anything! lol!  I think I'm gunna end up getting an Aprilia RS 125 to fix up and use as a second bike, cuz they are very common over here! Specially ones in need of work!  Would really prefer a DT project though as I miss the SuMo riding position and smell of 2t! cry  2x Sumo'd DTs went up for sale here recently.... both of them 2k euros!  far too expensive for my budget unfortunately

@Calum  AH no way, that is annoying!  Could maybe have been because of the summer and people being away on holidays too maybe? No?  I should be back on here again now!  Sh1t weather has already started so won't be getting out on the bike as much as I'd like to.  WIll keep this thread updated with the ER6!  and HOPEFULLY (but fairly unlikely at this rate) have a thread in the project area with a DT! confuse  Although as I said above its looking like an RS!!

How's both of your DTs treating you guys anyways?  Been enjoying them this summer? biggrin

Yeah been really enjoying the bike especially now I have got it at my new place. Few small problems to sort out but she is running sweet, can't believe I built it when I am flying down the road to work lol. Starting to push her a bit more now that I am on 200 + miles, not ragged it yet but it feels a lot quicker than in her abused state!

Yeah mate, say you have the biggest grin driving around on that!  Was looking through your project thread there again, and fook me it turned out amazing in the end! I would be extremely proud of that! biggrin  You not out cleaning it every time you get off the bike??  After a rebuild like that I'd imagine I'd be OCD on the bike.... cleaning absolutely everything after every ride! haha!! :P

Ha ha cheers mate. Yeah she is well treated, currently sitting in a 1.2k fortress I built lol. Going to get some final pics to finish the thread off sometime.

Came back to her when i was leaving work with 2 jake balls with Stella cans in the street praising me the lot lol even though I thought they were trying to steal her they were just admiring her ended up talking to them got about ten mins even though I first thought I was going to get mugged with a knife lol. She was only out my sight for 10 seconds shutting the gate lol.

Even when I was in a shop yesterday I was looking out every 3 minutes that it was still there ha ha

Well as some of you might know already,  was in an accident last weekend on the bike and been pretty upset about it all week!  The damage was minimal, thank god,  but still annoying! cry  Nothing worse than seeing your pride & joy lying on its side!

To cheer myself up anyways got down to work on it on friday biggrin  New oil, filter, coolant & silicone rad hoses!

The er6/f as an er6/n....

The new hoses

And on the bike
DSC_0055_zps2cbb6671.jpg
DSC_0054_zps7eb174c3.jpg

As the bike sits today - I also got some white tire paint to colour in the logos on the tire wall!  Think it looks well! biggrin
DSC_0056_zps8cfad834.jpg

As you can see near the nose of the bike is where I got hit.... cracked the fairing and bent a few mounting brackets which I only discovered when getting it naked, was a ****er to get the fairings back on! fairings are scratched up on the other side too and foot-peg & mirror is broken!  Have to leave as is until I hear back from my insurance!

Nice one, not bad damage considering, most sport bikes are smashed to peices when the go down.
