de coking exhaust?

hi guys
i have a dt125r year 2000, it is unrestricted and currently has a dep exhaust fitted, do i have to de-coke this? and if so whats the best way to go about it?
any advice would be gratefully recieved

all strokers need decoking i find the best way is to burn it ...... heat it up with the oxy torch then when its cooled down feed a length of chain in wit a piece of wire tied to it so you dont lose itthen give it a good shake

You could use Caustic Soda. I did mine with this. Be careful though. I used hot water for the solution, plugged up one end and filled it up. Left it 24 hours and washed it out.

from what i have read the symptoms are your exhaust spitting out crud and generally a performance drop

does anyone know if there is anything inside a complete DEP exhaust or is it just emty.
since if emty, it'll be quite easy to clean.
