hi guys

what sort of sprocket ratio are peeps running out there?
my dtr has a 57 tooth on the rear, its getting to the end of its life so am thinking of changing it for a smaller one, whats the general thoughts out there?
any help muchly appreciated

jeez.....what a lively forum this is, i take it everyone out there must be running 57t sprockets.
no one brave enough to put a yz part on a dt then?
tell you what guys. i'l go for a 54 or 53 and let you know how it goes..or maybe i wont....lol.

I recently changed wheels on my TDR. They came with a 54 tooth sprocket. It totaly killed acceleration and couldnt hit 70mph in top gear without a long run.

Now im back to 57 hitting 70+ uphill easily. Front wheels also lifts on occasions too.

PS its quiet cos we're all out in the sun!biggrin

Hey so the average to go for is around 56-58 mark rear and about 10 on the front then?

i'll stick to the 57,nice and torquey.have got a clue what the drive sprocket is, but i'll stick to the same.
p.s im an albino vampire, i dont do well in the sun...lollolwink

I got 16t front, 57t rear on my excel rims and its just fine.
I think 57/16 combination is standard.
