allright just wanted to give you some tips after spending 50 odd quid on two chains ,firstly after reading up on the net.dont clean your chain with petrol like i did i ceased solled.the book says clean with kerosin so i thougt petrol must be beter no,
got a new chain non oring 10 quid had to adjust it every week you get more pwer on a tight chain as soon as it gets loose power goes and you get a loud whipping noise on my dtx with my riding style did not like it went back to my dealer he said yammy d.i.d chain was 80 so he gave me a rk excell racing chain with o rings 35 quid works well still a bit noisy but wont keep it to tight as that finishes it quickly .i aslo oil it twice for every time i clean it so every 200 or so miles i lube every 500 miles i clean and lube silkolene lubes are being tested by me at the mo titainium is cool no splatters normal maintain is sticky and oily most probly the best for your bikefurious but messy oilspill on floor and black messy rear weel and sprocked .yamaha recomend o ring chain so do i .cheers

treid out silkolene semi synthetic chain lube and it is rubbish i think very messy ,oil and mess every where looks like my sprocked are going to be dirty black for a long time .give it a miss also avoid halfords as that was the stuff i was using when my chain ceased, and it seeded to rust for nothing silkolene titainium is a beter produckt im using less rust after riding in rain and much less mess as it is true non fling .
