I'm a proud new addition to the DT family, having just purchased a 2006 DT125RE. I'm sure this has been covered at some point in the past, but as I'm new, please could someone clarify this for me: to derestrict my bike, as well as earthing wires, new exhausts etc., do I HAVE to get hold of a derestricted CDI to fully free up the power, or does the green/black wire earthing trick do that job for me?
I very much doubt you would get a fully derestricted one mate, not for the later dt's anyway. earthing the wire is enough anyway end of the day its only a 125 ;)
