Of the 20% failure rate on bike MOT tests, over half are for defective lights. Quite amazing since these are amongst the simplest items to check yourself before going to the test.
The requirements are simple, and quite straightforward to replace or adjust, without the need of a mechanic.
HEADLIGHTS & TAIL LIGHTS must be free of chips or cracks; the headlight must also work on main and dip beam, the main beam must shine directly ahead and the dip slightly lower and to the left.
INDICATOR LIGHTS must all flash at a steady rate and the warning lights function properly.
If a HAZARD WARNING SYSTEM is fitted, all 4 indicators must flash at a steady uniform rate.
Bikes must have a red REFLECTOR on the rear of the machine, either bolted on separately or as part of the tail light lens.

If you've already put the led relay in then take the bulb out from under the dash that lights up when you indicate and they should flash. According to what has been said in another thread this can be replaced with an led.
Its Aliveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Its Alive YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorted , got another LED relay and it works fine now :D
Headlight left to fix now , it's in reverse . When you put on low beam it's high and vice versa . Hopefully just a swap over wires jobby but wont know till I can get bike outside again .
Very close mate , won a helmet on eBay with a set of goggles , didn't fancy them much so got another set Oakley crowbar Tribal red . Armour wise just need gloves now
Still need to sort headlight out and wire in a better fuse . speedo still needs sorting but not essential .
But it cant go downstairs till there's sufficient security in place . Almax etc
Don't know if you know this seiki but a blade fuse fits nicely into the blue coloured wire connectors so cut the wire and crimp 2 on and hey presto a fuse holder ;)
