Just back from Yamaha .

£131 for all bearings , seals and bushes . That's to get the swingarm , bottom knuckle thing and rear shock together . Some bearings survived but these look kinda special .

Also got the price for other bits I needed

Sidestand bolt
Chain guide rubber ( grommet )
Plastic rubber ( grommet )
Couple other bolts
Brake hose clips on swingarm

£15

So call it £150 to attach the swingarm , not including labour to remove and replace all bearings .

Anyhoo few more mock up pics with swingarm , about start cleaning some more bits and paint some metal

I'm also toying with the idea of masking off the rims and just painting the spokes and hubs black .

It will be a mission to mask them but it will save almost £200

The shop wanted 11/2 hours ( £ 40-50 an hour ) to respoke them and add £50 + for new spokes . Just not worth it and the bills are starting to mount . I like the idea of black spokes with chrome lip .

I'm getting ahead of myself and wanting to mod out of my budget . I'll use the hammerite rust sealant I have ( not used yet ) and spray it all shiney black

Yeah i wondered if you were gonna go with new spokes or not when you found out the price.Quite shocking.I had my motard rims rebuilt a few years ago and cost me 200 for stainless spokes and fitting. That was a wheel specialist in birmingham and he was by far the cheapest.
Just wire brush the spokes off and spray them up.It will look nice with black spokes too i reckon.
