Could you a bigger exhaust on it :), looks as good as new mate. I saw a Skyline going through our local town centre last week and it was one of the loudest cars ive heard yet.
My dads got a nissan skyline and yer there loud as he fitted a blitz nur spec stainless steel exhaust with removable baffles about 5 inch pipe and also when the de cat pipe is on it chucks flames out the back no flame kit or out there natural flames
Just out of interest how have you added up the SM conversion to around a grand? There are ways to get it done cheaper. You don't mind getting your hands dirty so you could lower that budget to around half that
That was mostly parts mate , but will break it down a bit later .
First things first , the forks , brake calipers and wheels are up for sale .
Pics in thread already but will organise a proper for sale thread later .
The forks are as you can see , blasted , coated white and resaeled by Yamaha , just the other day 8o) . Been bubblewrapped and stored since .
The calipers I havent touched but work fine , will get pics of those
The wheels are as you can see as well . The spokes and hubs are painted by me and cannot guarantee how long it'l last . The rims are nice and shiny . Tyres are legal , forgot the brand will say later . Discs are good , spindles good , sprockets good . Bearings are good .
Rim has minor scratches but can clean up well ( excell rims )
Tyres not sure about
The spokes are fecked , gone black and not sure what to do . Cant fit them as is but not sure what to do . Powedercoat the whole thing (£100) ...or get them respoked (£200)
You want some sticky race rubber on there. What size is the rear tyre? Some Pirelli dragon supercorsas or equivalent will have you scraping the pegs. The spokes.I take it they are mild steel like stock dtr ones? Powdercoat is ok but will be a problem i reckon on the spokes. As the spokes move around in use the coating will likely crack in areas and powdercoat is a ****er to get off. How about paint. The old dt wheels you did looked very nice and clean and to be honest will be the cheapest way of doing it.Take your time and they will look cool Stainless spokes? Oh yeah, but pricey. You can buff each spoke up to a mirror finish too. Its all down to how much ya wanna spend mate
The hub is structually fine. The load through the axle is placed on the bearing. There will be a dust seal i presume that fits over the bearing? This may have trouble staying in place as it press fits against the walls.I don't think you will have any problems though
