rights dtr heads, how often do you all need to tighten your chain, coz a did it about a month ago and its really slack, i travel about 10 miles a days to work and back and pull the odd wheely. cheers
It depends on how old the chain is and if you keep it in decent condition, my chain is done and needs to be tightened all the time because it goes slack easy.
had my bike six months, second hand and never changed the chain, also can putting the chain to tight make it strech quicker, any advice lads, cheers david

when I got my bike it had a renthal chain on it, and I had to tighten it pretty much everyday cos it got slack as a whores fanny. Since replacing it with a standard chain and sprockets from yamaha and keeping it well oiled I haven't had to tighten it since I put it on, and that was about 3000 odd miles ago.

I won't do it if you won't talk about your hands being too small
yes if your chain is too tight it will stretch it quicker, you should also make sure your chain is well lubed up and when adjusting the tension on your chain you should make sure there about 4.5cms movement in the bottom section... ie pull the chain as low as it goes and then push it up to as high as it can go the distance between these two positions should be 4.5 cms
cheers lads for your help, another quick question about the back light switch, mines sticky. the metal bar that hooks onto the pedel keeps sticking. can you buy a seperate metal bar or new switch
