hi pea couple of us with dtr,s live in brid, not far from you.any way a mate has the kit but my bike still faster than his and mine got standard barrell on it.with my 2002 dtr i feel the band start pulling at 8,000 revs, when i had aride on his could not feel the band but was still quick going through the gears, and i can do 80,mph his does around 70.so not impressed with the kit, unless power valve not set right.i checked the 2 holes are in line on the pully,so need to hear from those with the kit ........

The Athena kit will not produce more power on a stock dt.In fact a stock dt will be quicker.Fuelling will need modifying for any real gain.
The carb will need to be rejetted at the least but a bigger carb altogether would be better.Maybe a LHS rd350 or ypvs carb, yz125?
The exhaust has to be free flowing.Either DEP or derestricted standard is a must.
Having the crankcases matched to the barrel would be well adviseable too i think.

do the anthea kits make alot of difference when you have it set up correctly i decided to go for a tuned head because some said it would be a little more reliable

It should make quite a difference.Maybe another 7-8 hp at a guess.Even more with porting and flowing work. But torque will be increased which is only a good thing on a two stroke. My own LC 125 which i bored to 175 used to always beat 33bhp aprilias off the line.I used a LHS 350 YPVS powerjet carb on that.Took ages to get jetting spot on though.
Tuning the standard stuff will give good power gains too and will remain more reliable in the future.

Try an upjet at first.I'd start with a 260 main to start withand then move upto a 270.If improvements are'nt there then i would suggest using a bigger carb.A 350 lc carb i think would be sweet

I have no idea.I've never used a bigger carb on a DT.On the LC i had to run the 350 reedblock rubber too. This is going to cause hassle on a dt cos the inlet stub is straight and not angled like the dt one.Trial and error method is the only way to sort it.Maybe dt200 parts would be best if you can find them
