Hi lads, so me and my dad have 2 dtr frames so the plan is to build one original to sell on for the road and to fund the other project. both 2000-2003 So on to the good Stuff. the plan is to build something different and still roadworthy. my question is how to make the dt hit a 90mph or maybe possibly the 100mph....

Think I have the same problem as akaTheif, I have a 2003 DTR. It has standard sprockets 16T/57T. But for what ever reason in 6th gear I am at redline @65mph. Does anyone know why my gearing ratio's might be ****Êd up so much? did anyone sell any "racing gearing" back in the day for the DT? etc?

Hi all, Just done about 112 miles on my dt and I needed to switch it over to the reserve on the tank as the bike conked out. This has been just under a week since fill up :S Is this okay or is this sort of mileage a littler lower than usual? I'm thinking the bike is running on the rich side! HELP ME! tj

Thought i'd share, I know a few people will be interested Porto tuned DTR running a TZR gearbox and cylinder, with custom hand made pipe etc. 158kmh/98mph on the first test run, his best on the day was 164kmh/102mph. What is the maximum bore size for the 3mb cylinder?I see that the biggest piston i found is+1.50mm.On the other hand for the 3bn is 58.40.Is there any difference in the pistons? Can i use the 58.40 piston to the 3mb cylinder?

Has anyone done this? Had this idea for a long time Basically when you fit a bigger carb you need a bigger airbox to carb rubber, the rear spigot is 60 mm and a yz125 88 measures 60mm So may try thi, can screw to airbox,

Well I have been looking for a new DT to do over the winter but no luck, just a load of chav ringer "offroaders" with no documents ect. So I have set myself a challenge as I have missed the mechanical side of things recently after last winter. This may be a pritty bad idea but we will see how it goes...
