Hi im looking to replace the indicator and stop/tail bulbs with LED bulbs has anyone done this think i will need a relay replacement due to voltage change on the indicators
Stop tail .. no bother, will work fine & just draw less current ...
Indicators ... I've never done it, but am pretty sure the LED's will come with resistors, which will give you the same overall impedance / resistance... [ac or dc on DT's ?? never thought about it ??] ... as your old bulbs, so your existing flasher relay is fine.
Ask about resistors when you buy LED's, decent set should come with em, built in ??

Voltage [12] will be same to power your LED's as they are automotive ones ..
The problem is that if the resistance / impedance is much lower, the flasher relay will make em flash like they are on speed ! Will fail MOT & look crap if flash too fast .. {& attract bobbies !} Like on a car, when 1 bulb [lamp] goes, the remaining indicator flashes like hell, as the overall resistance has dropped, current goes up, flasher flashes quicker ..
