Not personally, but iv'e only ever heard good things said about him for plastics / delivery etc ...
Jase, where you getting the info from about different CDi's ? Interested, as it would be good to get the both together & see the difference ... Can't be that hard to convert from one to other, if we knew which bits to change ??
Has anyone done this, knows how it might be done ?

Like Simson says mate could you get more details becuase ive never seen that service on his Ebay shop. Does he take your CDI and derestrict it is that what your saying?
130284367375 ebay number for the get your cdi derestricted
Awesome thank you man does the 50 quid incluide the P&P? Has anyone one tried this service would I need a new loom or does it just need the CDI changed?
ive just been reading up on cdi units and theres alot that goes on in that little black box i also found out that a honda c90 cdi can be used on most 125 bikes (interesting)
i could be wrong but i dont think the loom on the restricted bike is the problem its just the black box i think people are told to change the loom because it makes it easier to plug the unresticted cdi in
if someone was to make a wiring diagram to plumb in an unrestricted cdi to a restricted loom it may save some time and money
can you into a cdi box??? wats in there// i pusume a circuit board with a resister, may be could be taken out???? we need mor info anyone looked inside one???????????
i was thinking of that b4 m8 but i doubt if anyone wants to split there cdi i dont think its a case of removing something i think it may get re- programmed i think the later cdi is programmed to weaken the spark at higher revs to basicaly slow the bike down
im downloading the wiring diagram for the later models now to compare against mine to see if i can make sense of it
The inside of a cdi looks much the same as any other. It is a circiutboard with resistors and chips on it.What does what in there i don't know.Thats a job for an ignition specialist. At a guess it will be restricted by a resistor or fuse similar to aprilia rs. Buying one from europe will work too.Unplug your cdi and plug the derestricted one in. I chose to replace the whole loom and cdi from a pre 97' on my '01 simply because i had all the parts ready. Not a huge job to change a loom really
could i do the same thing to my 56 plate dtx what would be the simplist way to do it and what would i need to do it would it make much difference to my bike im a little simple when it comes to the engines lol
I don't 'think'... the 04 on DT's are restricted in any way via the CDi ! ??
H's DT 'X' roars off the clock with just the PV wire in Clock grounded out & a Dep tail pipe .. He's still got Cat, but it flies ...
Pea's DT 'X' same again with Dep full system & wire grounded out .. Flies ... !
The later one's restriction looks to me to be purely on the PV wire to ground [85 % restriction] & Cat spoiling flow of Xpanny [15 %]
Yammy chose to restrict by PV & fit Cat, but had to let motor give enough power to overcome Cat !
The 04 on CDi's are a totally diff' animal {& shape etc} to the earlier ones}
???
Im not 100 % on this but if yammy go to all the bother of restricting via PV [via CDi] on some models, and restricting by Speedo sensor on others ? Does the restriction always come in the form of ... CDi - restricts via PV not by spark changes [complex, honda thinking ! as per usual !]
But if the standard method is as above, how do the DT's with no PV servo get restricted ??? These models must somehow have the spark 'changed' in some way ...
??????????????????????????????????????

That cdi is for a 97 to 03 dt.The models that have them fitted to the oil tank and yes they should have servos fitted. I have no idea if the cdi on dtx and re are resticted cos i haven't really played around with them much but from what folk say on here it seems that they aren't.I do know however that the dtx and re use a different loom and cdi box altogether to the earlier models. The very early dt (88-96) had no restrictions at all in the electrics and no servo on uk models. You could fit a servo for these models which plugs straight into the loom and hey presto a fully operating valve.Apparently the front pipe had a restrictor in it but i have never found one in there (could have been removed before i got it though i suppose). The 12bhp limit came from fitting the valve fixed in its closed position.Simply open it to derestrict it
Early 88 to 96 No PV Servo, held at 12 hoss by PV been closed. Fit servo Kit Full power, thoughout range 20 odd hoss. Can't afford servo, spin PV to High Port Position, bottom end weaker, but as above full power !
The 97 to 03 models seem to be split into 2 camps too ?
The CDi on the 04 to 07's is restricted [it restricts the PV at 7K] but by gounding the wire out .. Full Power CDi !!

You got it mate.As far as i know only the 97-03 dt's had restricted cdi boxes. The early dt's are the fastest dt's and will hit 80-85 just by spinning the valve open.
