So i'm round me mates house thursday giving him a hand putting his KR1S back together and i get the urge to have a rummage through his dtr spares, just to check out what he's got like.Well bugger me after an hour of rummaging theres enough to build a complete dt with a log book too! Frame is '90 and the engine and electrics 02.He assured me the engine was a good 'un too.I told him to get his finger out and get it all built.
'Can't be arsed really' he says
'If it all works i bet i can have it running by monday and mot ready by tuesday' i say
' No ****in chance. If its mot ready on tuesday i'll give ya 200 quid.'
'deal'

He brings all the bits round Friday evening and i start with the spanners like some crazed ant.Fed on Newcastle Brown, shish kebab, crazy herb and metallica

Just finished it an hour ago.Runs and rides fine.Derestricted in the right places.Pulls 75mph so not too bad really.Turned out fairly clean for a '90 to say i never repainted anything.Just assembled what he had.Its sat waiting for its mot on tuesday.

I'm off to ring matey now to tell him he owes me 200 quidbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Matey couldn't believe it eitherconfuse.Thought i was pulling his leg until he came round and saw it running!

Should go through mot ok i reckon.Just a little play in the bottom shock bush but isn't really excessive.Turned out a nice bike.Matey can't wait to go out and get dirty on it

Nope, not on the field bike - although I have just won another DT on ebay so will see how it goes tomorow and hopefully can get on with building my DT-R-SM for commuting in the week and off road play at weekends.

how does that bike do 75 please tell me!!!
my bike is in the garage atm because of a gasket problem :S?
before i had it the bike was sitting in a garage for 2 years, had its fuel cleared and whatever to get it running again! guy did it b4 he sold it
its still not running right any thoughts?
speedo restriction removed,
new expansion pipe (not sure what make its black matt so i want a nice shiny dep :D (i would have kept the stock but the guy bloody sold it haha)
not sure about the manifold theres some red adhesive around the manifold so who knows
a rebuild 600 miles ago
will do 60 on a GOOD day, was only doing 50 for a couple of days b4 its trip to the garage :(
so will see what its like when its out but if its only a gasket i really dont see it giving it another 20 mph :(

If I were you I'd save up £150 and send your engine off to Stan Stevens
