As title says the powerband starts to kick in about 8000rm then the bike just stops reving it sits contantly at 10000rpm no matter what gear your in i,ve gutted the exhuast removed, speedo restriction i cleaned the air filter and put new spark plug in the power valve is working as i can hear it when i put the key in the ignition i get the 3 whuring noises it pissing me off as when it starts to hit the power band you can feel the power thats there but like i said before lots off pull between 8000rpm and 10000rpm and thats it stuck at 10000rpm constantly any help would be much appreciated other wise i,m going to have to take it down the local motorbike shop who charges £45 and hour thanks nonono

If your running a stock front pipe your powerband should be kicking in at around 5.5k rpm

Has anyone else got the same modifications as my bike and if so does your bike do the same if not what do think the problem could be as this is like riding a fourstroke at the moment lots of power low to midrange up to 8500 to 9500 rpm then like said before it just stops revving i'm starting to get fed up with it would a dep sport pipe sort out this problem out or do you think its could be a carb problem it still pulls 75mph and nots that slow getting there but theres not much of a power band but it does pull quite hard through the gears i'm tempted to stick it in the shop on thursday and let him try and sort it out any advice would be very much appreciated thanks

im getting a similar problem buddy but i am running a slightly different set up
i adjusted the needle in the week and low and top end improved but i got mid range splutters in my case its a case of getting everything on the carb set up right it may take some messing but i will get it done if i notice anything worthwhile along the way i will let you know

I did not think of that i suppose if its not fully opening it would hold the bike back because no matter what gear i,m in it just won,t red line how how hard is it to adjust the power valve and do you think this deffo the cause of my problems thanks

its not that its not opening, its that it is opening then closing when you get to top revs, to stop you going too fast ! - ie restticts it

you cant have the power valve workign to open fully all the way through the whole rev range

its easy to do and test, once i did mine it was unreal after !

I think it is the battery just lately when i first get it out ready to go to work i put the key in  and turn it and the oil and nuetral light come on faintly and the powervalve does not do its usual 3 whirring noises but oce i,ve been on it for say 10 minutes and stop it and tunr the ingnition back on the lights are nice and bright and you hear the powervalve moving
