just did mine today still got oil on hands :) iv got an 07 bike what i did

First i removed the plastis and got to the servo.
Then i got the 2 cables that go to the servo and slacked them off so they was lose.
Then removed the exhaust so i could get my finger in the port to feel for the value, the value is about 1-2inc up the port its at the end you will know its the value because it will move if you turn the servo cog or just move the value with your fingers.
Then make it flush with the port
Now make the cables tight but not to tight so that it will break anything.
Follow the cables up to the black box under the petrol tank(oh yeah remove the tank) It is held on by 2 10mm bolts you will see it gets power from a cable just unplug it so that it cant work.
Put bike back together have fun.

Its slow ish(by slow i mean at the start of the revs only in frist gear really) not much more then normal but when it revs then you kick to second it will left yeah yeah i **** my self rolf was not thinking it had worked :P and now it revs high once tro ever gear.

if anyone can see a mistake please let me know (I know i cant spell to well :P)

Woof ..

PV & Piston Can & Will Meet if your not careful ...
But general wisdom tends to be on re-bored barrels....

Yours [RE or X 2004 to 2007] is set up from Yam for the absolute best running to overcome the HUGE Cat' in the Xpanny ...

Standard PV position WITH servo attached is king ..

Gives best possible bottom end [for a pi$$ing little 2T !] and opens up fully to rev out nice ...

See de-restrict info on this site for 04 / 07  ..

http://dtr125.net/tuningf.htm

Yours just needs ...

Wire grounding out to stop PV 'fluttering' at high revs .. [This is the main restriction]

The CAT cutting out from the Xpanny  .... [Very Restrictive] .... or a DEP Xpanny

That's it ...

85 to 90 mph Eeeeeasy !!

Don't bother chopping the reed block guides or blanking off your N/S bottle whatsit ... neither appear to restrict ...

We get 10 new users a month thinking they are able to setup PV's better than Yamaha ...

& five of em tend to have shagged motors in 3 months !!

Get the Yammy Workshop manual ... Put the PV back as should be & de-restrict it proper m8 ... !

If you aint got a yammy w/s manual .. just say ...
we might have a cure for that wink

................................................................................................................................

PV's are to give ****e 2T motors more bottom end, then let em rev properly at the top end .... by disconecting your PV servo, you have just made the bottom end $hite & given your motor the torque characteristics of a slug ! {not planning on any offroading are ya ??} ... If you follow the guide .. you will get the same top end 90 mph .. but keep your grunt at the bottom of the revs !!!

WIN ..... WIN ..... !

ypvs is now all back on and together nice bottom end revs.
With ypvs off no revs at bottom end was dipping the cluth none stop to get the band in but i did get 83mph ish with ypvs off and i get 80mph with it working but the bottom end revs wicth i need as i found out the other day when i was going to work in the rain and could not get the band to kick in going up the muddy fooking hill.,

So to sum up iv got my full dep exhauts on now does 80mph going in to the wind with nps.Iv got very nice bottom end revs with the ypvs working and nice top end speed, but i have moved the value to where i like it its not full open ort closed its about 7mm off the top of the port with the bike started so it will rev tro to the band quicker.Sorry about my spelling and grammer etc im ****ing **** at words/spelling etc

Anyways i like what iv got/done to my bike so fare im getting a 14-15 front sprocket next

And im not cutting the air in take as i use the bike for off road use and dont want water in the carb.I will be getting reeds if i find a good pair and maybe looking at the jets or im buying a wr450 or 250(last part of my test soon)

My bike does 80mph because sorting the exhaust out has a hole in it missing bolt etc got one fixed but now the other has f-ucked.
