hello there paddy im gettin my frame sprayed and im thinking of going tango orange frame(powdercoating) and getting all black plastics but im not sure so i was thinking what would you guys go 4 or think would look good (I WANT SOMETHING THAT WILL REALLY STAND OUT) like what frame colorS and plastics im not bothering with graphics yet but will be getting some custom graphics at some point probs cheers guys and let ya amagination take over!
The orange frame with black plastics looks the danglies .... but it's been done already . So that leaves a shocking pink , yellow or green frame with black plastics
yea m8 i was thinkin of spraying it pink but duno im liking the sound of green i no the green i would get as wel bright but deep kind of what about swing arm + full dep pipe.... or you recon i should keep the swing arm black or turn it coloured same as frame or will that look silly
yes mate im feeling you that would look cool what do you think about swing arm keep it black or what do you think on this; yellow frame like have you seen the yellow and black quad yfz 450 pic below i had 1 of these beasts omfg so fukin fast anyway) yea that yellow with black plastics and white swing arm and like you say bits of yellow around like grips steel braded brake lines bit of graphics not sure what tho may be a bit of red/yellow flame or sumink (black sm wheels already got standard dtx) may be a white front fender yes mate the ideas are endless p i s s e d or maybe silver flames or tank they would be the thin flames tho and not O T T WHAT YOU RECON CHEERS FOR YOUR HELP WITH IDEAS THATS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS SITE PEOPLE HELP EACH OTHER UN LIKE IN THE REAL WORLD PEOPLE UP THERE OWN ARSES LOL SAFE
I tell you what mate, whatever you decide to do, go for a one off, as in no one else has the same colour as you, if I did a rebuilt and had the time I would deffo choose colours no other DT has very unique!!!
Personally I like silver swing arms , it helps break the colours apart and matches the front stanctons . Black swingarm on a DTX is standard isn't it ?
I wish I had a much brighter frame now
As for graphics etc I'd wait till you start putting it back together , ideas always change etc
Why are you doing all this btw ? Surely a DTX cant need a strip down so soon ?! Or is it the individuality you seek ? :winner:
yea mate i will do erm basicly its a 06 plate but its looking like a 1980 plate lol really dirty and basicly the frames rusting not really to bad but it will get worse if not sorted and the plastics are fading and its just looking sorry for its self + i have cdi problems and it all started when i was trying to fix power valve so i took the vave out cleaned it done my topend rebuild and i thought well ive done this and you kind of get carryed away so yea here i am with a 06 dtx completely stripped waitin for spray job + cdi and im one of them i have to be different (dont no y) and i love customisen things (cant leve them standard lol) plus i lve my dt everythink you could ever want in a bike apart from power laks a bit there im thinking about dropping a yz 250 engine init lol yea but thats just in my dreams at the mo lol
yes mate il make sure to put pics on here after i finish project here a coupple for now... yea this is me old quad not this exact 1 but the same quad and colour i miss it wel bad i wanna get another 1 but for 7,500 quid it wont be ant time soon or probably ever agen

Yeah I'm with you on the customization , and being a DTX you shouldn't have to do too much to be a bit different . I mean that in a good way btw , they only come in two colours
I say go for it man , get the brightest gayest frame colour there is and chuck some black plastics with graphics .
What are the wheels like ? Are you leaving them as is ? Remember taking the wrong parts apart can cost you loads . ( IE if you planned on powdercoating the swingarm etc )
