HPires rear conversion
Permalink

Received my HPires rear mud guard this morning and had nothing to do at work so decided to get cracking fitting it.

Its a pretty simple conversion, took me around 2 hours to do everything including cutting the side plastics, fitting indicators, fitting tail tidy. I was really taking my time as I wanted to get it right first time!

Only thing I would say at fault with this is to get it really sticking up and out you have to trim some seat away as the seat just wont sit down and let you get it as high as some of the lads on the Portuguese forum get the rear fenders.

I will be retrimming my seat in the near future so will look into this, but even at the angle it is at I think it looks great and Im really happy with it.

Ill just say a massive thanks to Mugen Seiki too as he has been very patient with me in letting me know exactly what I need to achieve this look I was going for. Thanks Mate

Dude that's awesome biggrinbiggrin

It really does make a difference eh ? confuse

Cant wait for mine to turn up now , and I'm loving your indicator placement , quality smile

Nice job of cutting the plastics too biggrin . Are you going to keep that front fender ? I reckon the shorter supermoto one would look the danglies , either way looks top right now biggrin

Yeah it looks great, Im really happy with it.

Hehe yeah Im proud of the indicator placement too, using the bike mainly for off road and falling off now and again, would just see big sticky outey ones knocked off all the time, Im not sure how legal where I have placed them is for MOT's and the police?

lol well I actually have 2 of these YZ front fenders, but I think you may be right that the short one does look better, Im just not 100% which one I prefer

As for whats left to make it look even better heres a few trick bits for the front end I have purchased but havnt arrived yet:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=300323679177

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=320327208985

I also want some smart blue and white hand guards like this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Acerbis-Rally-11-Hand-Guards-Enduro-Blue-22mm-Fit-Kit_W0QQitemZ170325315818QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item27a82e10ea&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65:16|66:2|39:1|240:1318|301:0|293:1|294:50

but I cant warrent spending £66 on a pair no matter how good they are and how nice they look, is there a cheaper alternative that will fit the DT? I bought some universal white ones a week or so ago but theres no way they will fit.

Any chance of a link to the ripoff sets mate? They look cool but its just too much money for me to spend on a 125

You can confirm they will deffinatly fit a DT? Dont think ive seen them fitted on your thread?

Shame they dont sell online, are they just the same as the Acerbis ones just a unbranded copy?

The problem with one ones I bought is they are too sharp in angle so they end up hitting the brake and clutch lever

No idea if they fit regular Dt bars mate , but I have renthals and have been told they'll fit . If they don't I'll just return them and try again . They look identical to the Polisport ones but have no graphics on them .

Cant you trim down the angles ?

Mine havent arrived yet , Wednesday i'm hoping for biggrin
