im no genius with the powervalve as ive yet to adjust mine, but it didnt look like it was opening fully, looked as if it still had a few mm to go.

How high does your engine rev too?

My powerband starts around 7,000rpm and stops about 11,000 anything past that and it starts to misfire.

all looks fine on the video. you can take exaust off and do it that way, look up the port and see if it moves inside there will be a peice of metal shaped like a banana but flat if that makes sense, everytime you move throttle the pullys it will open and close smile.gifmust have ignition on smile.gif

Warm your bike up first before you rev it high while stationary because your bike its stuttering wich means your bike is cold.

Go for a quick ride up and down the street then leave it running and do another video.

looks like to me that its not fully opening. can u get a vid up with out engine running and ignition on. the black fork, should be aligned with the hole behind it.

Ignition on, It does the 2 motor passes, then should sit wide open..This is when u slaken the cables off, find a 4mm drill bit and slide it threw the fork ito the hole and leave it there.

Tighten both cables to take up the slack. Get then tight-ish, then turn back half a turn.so that the cabels are not too tight. just right!!

Pull out the 4mm drill bit. now the fork sould be aligned with the hole.

turn your ignition off, then on. test to see if it re-aligns with your set hole.

all set, go riding!

u can clearly see when u rev high, the fork is not aligning with the hole, by a fair bit..

The cables need adjusting..ON first reflection, i thought the PV was operating in the oppisite direction, untill u reved the bike.

thanks for the help.. il try that thing soon satone,
i did take the exhaust off after .. took a video of the ignition turning on and off, on and off, on and off, got the exhaust back on now but could have it off again in 5 min .. got it stripped down cuz cleaning carb :)
is it safe to run the engine with the exhaust off?

btw the reason im doing this is because the bike does 50mph in 3rd gear, but WILL not go past 50 no matter what gear, tried all, so im cleaning the carb also might help.
any other advice?
thanks for any ideas

mine had the same problem when i first got it, turned out that a mouse had been using the airbox as a home and stored a ton of corn in there and thats why mine wasnt going past 50.
