Hi folks. I have a stolen revovered 04 DTR. Looking for frame and log book to put back on road, Will the earlier frames be usable? Will it all fit??? Cheers
nah mate thats not quite correct.. slight differences in the frame from 04 onwards.. rear grab rail is different for a start.. Also the older frame doesnt have the mount for the ignition. On the 03 and early ignition barrel is on the fork clamps.. on the 04 onwards its on the frame infront of tank...
good luck finding an 04 onwards frame... dtx frame is slightly different to dtre aswell. headtube angle is tighter on the dtx to make the steering more responsive.
panels bolt on at different points on the frame on an 04 onwards aswell as they changed the body..
