Waiting to finish the wiring now, sort the headlight lower bracket and some how mount the Vapor from the bottom of the ignition switch so it fits behind the X light but allows me to see it / lock the steering.
Running stock rear, side and rad scoops. Keeping the original rear because I have got a standard rack to fit as I'm planning on using my bike for work.
Could do with a good condition black tank complete with silver block graphics as the one thats fitted is 'ok' at best.
Yeah tell me about it, I'm hopefully picking up my new loom this week - got a complete 125X set up and then found out that the cranks different so it wouldnt fit mine = arrrghhh!
I'll have that bracket mate as making ones proving a real mare.
She's an original mk1 DT125R with DT125X wheels / forks / brakes / swing-arm / mudguard and headlight fitted.
Everything whent straight in or on except for the headlight which is work in progress.
Although its hard to tell from the pictures especially with the fuel tank in primer I think she looks mighty fine, and the fat bars / mini led indicators bring the old girl right up to date.
Just need me a DT230 engine, DT200R alloy swing-arm and I'll be sorted.....
What's the difference between the DTR and DTX swing arm? I was comparing my mates DTX to mine and I could of sworn the swing arm wasn't as beefy as the DTR one. Am I right?
Think they are slightly shorter. read it somewhere... other than that exactly the same just black.... think they removed grease nipples on the newer swingarms aswell.

Just need to get me some DT-X headlight mounts now as making my own is proving a nightmare - think I'll cut them up and weld X brackets to the R yoke mount parts.
As for the swing-arm they look pretty much the same except for the bracket that mounts the R's caliper guard has been left off on the X. There are no grease nipples either if I remember correctly.
I was bidding on a DT200R swing-arm but with postage it had gone over £100 in Japanese Yen so I could not justify it - shame as they are mega rare and it would have been a trick part to have had on a 125.
still got that a headlight mount for you bud.. Ive mislaid it yet again. I picked it up from my garage (which is like 8 miles from my house), took it to my dads garage, lost it, found it, took it to my place, packaged it, lost it, found it again, went to take it to the post office but I didnt get there, then took it back to my house and lost it. Ive seen it but where I cant remember. I know im a pain. should lay off the green stuff..
do you know if the slot for the caliper mount is different on the X to the RE/R? because the caliper mount is different and it doesnt seem to have as much grip on the slot like the older caliper mounts.. They may be the same I was just wondering as I dont have a dtx swinger to compare against..

Tbh I dont know, I have an R swinger but its at my new house (buying one) and I'm at the old rented sh#t hole with the bike - I dont think it is but when you tighten up the spindle / bolt it should hold the caliper bracket in place.
