The original forks on my bike are higher and are fully adjustable compared to the rather crap genuine supermoto forks. So does anyone know how i would make the bracket/spacer to use the sm brembo caliper on the original forks? Hoping for pics of this bracket if anyone has done it?
have seen it done but they are normally bodge jobs. I was gonna make a bracket to use original forks with sm wheels and the brembo but was easier just to pay £40 for a set of forks.. check out bikepics.com for ideas. a few people have done it on there.

I already have the sm forks fitted to the bike now,but the original forks are about 3" longer and have adjustable damping e.t.c.I could really do with the extra height on the front end so i can fit the +2" rear suspension linkages. (i'm quite tall so extra height would be good.)
I've been searching the net for ages and cant find any details on these brackets. I cant even see how the bracket would work to be honest cant get my head round it.
Heres a video of the caliper bracket i got with the bike but it needs finished.I dont understand how fitting this would allow me to fit the brembo caliper to it as it would either put it too close or too far away from the disk!..
Aint the dt230 forks the same as the dt126re? I didnt know the dt230 had adjustable forks.. Also there is only an inch difference in length between re and x forks..

Nope! the brake caliper mounts in a slightly different place on the 230. 230 forks have damping adjustment and are a good 3" higher than the sm forks.
See how it goes,i might even get a chance to do this before i sell the bike (although the way it's looking i doubt it) CCM644sm is calling me
ahh they are different then... if your gonna sell it then leave the dtx forks on and sell the standard dt230 fork off as dt125re/r upgrade! :D prob get more for them than the dtx forks.. Its gonna cost a little bit to get that bracket made aswell as its a one off. Most places I spoke to would only do batches..
is the standard dt230 caliper the brembo on the dtx?
how much would you sell the 230 for?

The standard 230 caliper (as you have pictured) is a nissin caliper.It's quite a bit smaller than the brembo one.For now if i was going to use the bike off road i'll just put the nissin caliper back on along with all the original parts.

you aint having mine lol, by the way there is a courier company called ukmptprcyclesuk and they pic up and drop off bikes for between £100-£140 might be worth looking into if you do look at other bikes far away from you

Really nice one sold on ebay few days ago for just £1250! was the R30 model aswell which would have been nice Will look up that courier company.It seems a lot cheaper than most of the quotes i have had.
