Carb Questions
Permalink

Hi Everyone,
My name is Mark, I have just bought a 1995 TDR125 for my son as his first bike (he will be 17 soon and I want to get him used to a clutch and manual gears before his CBT).
The bike is basically sound (I think!), but I have some carb questions - I hope you don't mind me asking on my first post!!!

In the picture below I have labelled 3 fittings that had no pipes or anything connected - the bike won't tickover or rev too freely, I'm sure they should be connected to something or blanked off.
?2 I believe is a breather - there is a similar one directly on the other side of the carb that is.
However ?1 and ?3 - I have no idea.
Can someone please enlighten me???

Many many thanks...

I think that 3 is where the 2 stroke oil pipe fixes to.

Are you sure thats a TDR carb and not one from a TZR125 as afaik the TDR had a 28mm flat slide Mikuni??

Hi Ben,
Thanks for the response.
It's definitely off the TDR I just bought (a 1995 one - Engine marked 4FU00).
The two-stroke oil feed on the bike goes directly to the inlet manifold on the engine (after the carb), at the reed block plate area dude...

Cheers, Mark.

Hi Guru,
It is a Mikuni carb, the only markings I can find are 2RH 00

I am of the opinion that it is the wrong carb for the bike, I just wonder if it is suitable...

Cheers guys, Mark.
