im thinking about getting a 18 tooth front sprocket for my dt instead of the standard 16 tooth but ive heard you loose alot of acceleration, has anybody fitted a 18 tooth sprocket to their biike if so could you tell me what the performance is like.

1 tooth on the front = 3 teeth on the rear
You may find that the engine struggles to pull top gear with such a large front sprocket.
Go with the 17 first if you feel you need a higher top speed (lower acceleration) as front sprockets are cheap.
